The 2010 baseball post-season is here again. Playoff baseball, its back! There are some new teams in the playoffs this year, along with the same faces baseball fans have gotten used to seeing playing baseball in October. The American League sees the Yankees and Twins return to the playoffs, joined by 2008 AL World Series representative the Tampa Bay Rays. These three teams have been among the best in the league for years, so seeing them in the playoffs is not that surprising. The AL West underwent some upheaval this year however, with the Texas Rangers vaulting past the LA Angels to reach the post-season. The TX Rangers are likely the underdogs against the Rays. Either way Rays Rangers playoff tickets will move fast on both sides of the country. The other Division Series matchup is the perennial post-season series between the Twins and Yankees. The Yanks have owned the Twins in the playoffs this decade, and with Justin Morneau out for the season, the Yankees have reason to be confident this year. However the Yankee pitching staff has not been great behind CC Sabathia, who is a post-season monster. But they have the bats to make Yankee ALCS tickets a possibility this year. Baseball field dimension at Yankee Stadium have been talked about since the new park opened, but it’ll likely be a point this year again.
Out of the four teams that represent the National League in the post-season, only the Phillies were there last year. In fact the Phillies are trying to get to the World Series three straight years, quite a feat for any baseball team. The Phillies take on Joey Votto and the Cincinnati Reds, with Philadelphia enjoying home field advantage at Citizens Bank Park. They are sure to be ding their best to get into the Reds vs Phillies game in Philadelphia, because we all know how crazy Philadelphia sports fans are, and when its playoff season they really get nuts. And if they make it to Phillies NLCS tickets, well fuggedaboutit! Those fans will break down the walls of Citizens Bank Park to get in!
And in the other NLDS series its the San Fran Giants versus the Atlanta Braves and Bobby Cox. We all know that this is the final year for Braves manager Bobby Cox in the bigs, and his players want to send the skipper out a champion. He has as much post-season experience as anyone, so check out the fun. They are having a great time selling Braves tickets, but if those were Braves NLCS tickets then the action would really be crazy! The National League is going to be a crazy place for sure, and you definitely want to get in on the exhilaration and get out to a playoff game this season.
